Seth Ben-Yishay, PT, graduated from NYU in 1993, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy. He graduated at the top of his class and was the sole recipient of the Elizabeth C. Addams Award for clinical and academic excellence displayed during his tenure in the NYU PT program. Following graduation, he began work at NYU’s Hospital for Joint Diseases in downtown Manhattan and rotated through the acute care, outpatient, and pain management program services as a staff therapist. In 1995 he took a position as an outpatient PT with the HealthSouth corporation and was quickly promoted to the position of Director of Clinical Services and Administrator of their Lincoln Center, NY facility. For the last 28 years he has distinguished himself as an exceptional orthopedic PT with a strong grasp of various manual therapy techniques and hands-on skill set. In 2003 he opened, owned and operated his own private practice – ProActive Physical Therapy of Syosset on Long Island, NY where he continued to treat patients, develop a staff of new PT clinicians, and grow his business before being acquired by 5 orthopedic surgeons in 2014, who absorbed his practice into their Orthopedic and Sports Associates of Long Island, group practice. In 2019 he was offered and accepted a Clinical Director position with JAG-ONE Physical Therapy in Downtown Brooklyn. Seth is a certified Active Release Technique clinician and has a high proficiency in treating all orthopedic issues including spine, post-surgical, and chronic pain patients.
